Personal Trainer Bio/ Background

Hi I am Jana, a Personal Trainer in Cary, NC , Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas. 
I began my love for physical fitness back in elementary school. I enjoyed the challenges of the presidential physical fitness tests and always came out in the 95%. 

I went on to excel in high school, becoming a conference and state all star, breaking three high school records and earning a scholarship to a division I school. I would always ask my coaches why I was doing the workouts they gave me and how they were going to help me compete. This was the gateway to me entering the Exercise Science Program. 

I learned that I enjoyed working with many populations from young athletes to the elderly. I felt that I had the experience to work with athletes and the general population so I focused my studies on special populations and aging where I obtained my minor in Gerontology. After graduation I lead the Urban Imitative Summer Sports Clinic for the city of Harford CT and entered into Corporate Fitness where I focused on program development and one on one training. I decided to branch out on my own and focus solely on what I love, helping people achieve their fitness goals.

I feel Diet and exercise is the key to weight loss. My program will focus on caloric intake versus caloric expenditure. By keeping track of your personal menu through a food journal, you can begin to recognize your eating habits and learn to provide healthy alternatives. By following the basic nutritional guidelines while incorporating fat burning cardiovascular workouts with a light strength program will boost your metabolism and shed inches.
I am passionate about my client’s well-being and develop personalized programs with each individual in mind. The care and concern of the client is the key to success.
